Role: Lumos Program Lead & Private Educator
Responsibilities: (1) Plan und lead the Lumos Program (2) Private educator for a family with 3 children (born 2014, 2016, 2018).
Experience: Minimum 5 years teaching experience (or related experience*). Passion for innovative educational models is a must.
Personal qualities: Leadership skills, commitment to lifelong learning and a passion for working with children
Qualifications: Swiss recognized teaching diploma is a plus but not a requirement
Languages: English (German is a big plus)
Location: Zurich area
Start date: Summer 2024
Compensation: Minimum CHF 100,000+ (For a top notch candidate we are willing to pay up to 150% of your current salary

We are a fun, flexible, kind, open-minded, secular Swiss-New Zealand family looking to provide our three children (born 2014, 2016 & 2018) with a unique educational journey that will be part private teaching and part learning alongside other kids. For the past three years we’ve privately educated our three children in California with the help of an amazing teacher and a small group of other families. Two full days and three half days per week our children learn privately with our teacher and three half days a week they join together with a group of homeschooled children to socialize, do projects, collaborate, spend time in nature and develop their social emotional skills. We want to recreate something similar in the Canton of Zurich with other homeschool families and we are looking for two outstanding teachers (one of whom will be program lead and whom we plan to hire first) to help us realize our plans.
